Savvy entrepreneurial web marketing person (Midtown)

0

Written on 8:12 AM by Angela Livingston

Whom We Need

We need a savvy, entrepreneurial web marketing person who can think “outside of the proverbial box”. The individual needs to have a canny ability to market our music across various distribution channels by means of many different forms of promotions, and in the process targeting different consumer market segments. This can include regular newsletters to opt-in consumers, corporate cross promotions, premium product licensing, viral marketing campaigns or affiliate marketing programs, just to mention a few. You will need to compile a detailed marketing plan, define the resources needed and convincingly demonstrate how the plan will increase sales significantly.

You can be located anywhere in the world, working whenever great intuition hits you - we are completely success driven. Music industry experience might be a plus, but then again, it could be a handicap, too. More importantly, you need to have creative mind to overcome the challenges in a declining market and adverse economy.

Our intention is for an individual to earn $75,000 to $150,000 for each increase in revenue of $1,000,000. With no fixed salary, the significant success participation fee is based on incremental sales over our current revenue base (we have complete transparency in our current revenue streams allowing any incremental marketing effort to be clearly identified.)

When taking on this assignment, you need to be in a financial position to not immediately depend on income. Implementation of marketing campaigns does take time, and whereas the rewards can be significant the timespan to obtain them can be too.

BEFORE CONTACTING US, please become thoroughly familiar with our website and music repertoire. Everything you see on the website can be licensed out, can be repackaged into new releases, or used in any other way to maximize revenue.

DO NOT CONTACT US by simply sending in a resume claiming to know-it-all or by throwing a few common web marketing terms at us. Provide a detailed approach of what you would do, how you would do it and within which time line. The more specific your approach is, the more likely it is that we will work with you.

Whom We DON’T Need

We do not need web programmers, spam meisters, or very technically oriented people. This is clearly a more creative task in marketing our intellectual property. If web work is needed, we have a webmaster in place who can tweak the site and adjust to your marketing needs/campaign.

Who We Are

We are a leading independent jazz, blues, and new age/ world music label - you can review our recordings at http://www.1201music.com/store/

We own 5,000 songs and have access to another 15,000 songs. Our repertoire is currently sold in form of downloads on itune, Napster, and Musicnet (the physical CD format is not manufactured anymore although we could do so if circumstances warrant it).

Our music is heard on more than 500 radio stations across the country, and our acts are performing live in many different venues. We have feeder campaigns on Facebook and MySpace. Our repertoire was awarded multiple Gold Records.

We have provided our content for ad and marketing campaigns to such companies like Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Club Med, NASA or Bose, to mention a few. Our music was used in movies like JFK, or was part of incentive marketing programs for vineyards such as Franciscan Vineyard.

Our operations go back fifty years and include manufacturing plants – CD/CD ROM, DVD, vinyl -, distribution world-wide, publishing, label functions and shipment fulfillment centers. We are privately held, conservatively managed, and very progressively marketed.

ENTERTAINMENT LAW INTERNSHIP (Midtown West)

0

Written on 6:08 PM by Angela Livingston

My name is David Faux and I seek two interns to assist me in my law practice: an associate intern (perfect for the law school student), and a paralegal intern (perfect for the college student considering law school). Both positions are unpaid, though credit might be available (see below).

The Associate Internship (perfect for a law school student) will build a wide variety of research, reading, and legal writing skills in both litigation and transactional law. While the litigation involves more mundane matters (commercial suits), it may also include work from entertainers and artists. The transactional law includes work with art galleries and, perhaps, fashion designers, as well as the possibility of other entertainers and artists. It depends on how much work everybody can get done!

The Associate Intern will assist with: securing Federal and State tax exempt status for art galleries, development of Fashion law practice, drafting memo on piracy and counterfeiting in the fashion industry, performing regular trademark searches, corporate formation, and litigating in Queens and Brooklyn.

Typical tasks will include case outlining, proofreading, interaction with court clerks, and Lexis research. I will be available (in person, by email, and by phone) for guidance on all the above-mentioned projects and anything else. I understand that this is an educational position and believe in the educational process. The training will include use of Lexis and other legal resource materials.

Requirements: 10-20 hours per week. Prior exposure to copyright law. Ability to research a problem to its solution. Ability to follow instructions. Good writing skills combined with an eye for detail. A disciplined work ethic that will carry work forward between weekly meetings (work for the internship can be done remotely). I strongly encourage the applicant to be able to receive law school credit for the work involved in this position-the applicant who can receive credit will be chosen over the applicant who cannot.

The Paralegal Internship will introduce the successful candidate to an array of legal and business concerns. This person will be dealing with my largest client, the Dramatists Guild, and working with me at the Guild Office.

The Dramatists Guild is a trade association serving authors, librettists, lyricists, and composers for the stage. We deal with contracts connected to a broad range of theatrical entities, from the community theater operating on a shoestring in West Virginia, to the hundred-page documents involved with such Broadway shows as Wicked, Legally Blonde, and Shrek. My moonlighting practice includes clients from the Arts and Entertainment world, and also has a more traditional litigation aspect.

The paralegal intern will have projects covering the gamut of intellectual property law as it relates to arts and entertainment law, especially the theater industry. They will include all of the following: monitoring events by fashion trade associations; liaising with various trade associations professional organizations; outlining legal articles; typing up drafts of memos and lectures on copyright law as it relates to fashion, theater, and other industries; pay attention to legal and industry news stories; assisting with tax exempt status for art galleries; coordinating talks, events, and other volunteer efforts with New York State Bar Association (Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section), and addressing corporate formation/operational issues.

I will be available for guidance on all the above-mentioned projects and anything else. I understand that this is an educational position and believe in the educational process. The training may include use of Lexis and other legal resource materials.

Requirements: 10-20 hours per week. Follow-through on projects. Good listening and writing skills combined with an eye for detail. Ability to follow instructions. A disciplined work ethic and ability to get along with others (this internship will take place in the Guild office). I strongly encourage the applicant to be able to receive college credit for the work involved in this position-the applicant who can receive credit will be chosen over the applicant who cannot.

Dental Industry Pros – Connect Us With New Business, Get 15% (NY/NJ/CT)

0

Written on 8:52 AM by Angela Livingston

Rare opportunity to capitalize on your existing network of dental contacts.
Get paid a %age of all new business that you connect us with.

Our dental lab, MobileTek Labs (recently featured in Crain's NY) , is looking for dental sales pros that can get us meetings with dentists throughout the NY/NJ/CT Metro Area

Connect us with a solid lead and you will receive 15% of the first 90 days of new business that client generates. (a solid new client can generate $5000 of business in the first 90 days – so you would get $750 for hooking us up with one phone call to the right dentist)

Simple as that.

Our service is incredibly appealing to dentists who are interested in CAD/CAM technology, but don’t want to spend $125K on a CEREC or E4D machine.

We are not asking you to do the selling, only to make the introduction (and maybe give the dentist a nudge if you want to make some $$$). We will give you some background info on the service itself, but we are not going to waste your time with every little detail. We don’t care if you do this part time, full time or whatever, we just want to grow our business and we have determined that working with pros like you is the fastest way to spread the word about our service.

Please send us an email if you would like to introduce yourself or if you would like more info.

Please – we only want dental sales pros with existing relationships – we ARE NOT HIRING for a position, we ARE NOT offering any training.

About MobileTek Labs

MobileTek Labs operates a mobile CAD/CAM dental laboratory in the NYC area. MobileTek offers ‘Same Visit’ crowns to dentists as well as Express Return 2 Day pickup/delivery service.

We have been perfecting our service for the last two years by working with several dentists throughout the NYC Metro Area (Westchester, Manhattan, Bergen County, NJ) and we are now looking to expand our roster of clients.

Visit www.MobileTekLabs.com for more info.
