Bonobos is one of the fastest growing fashion startups in America. In under two years we have reached breakeven profitability, have grown from a team of two to a team of 22, and are on pace to sell more than 35,000 pairs of pants this year, direct to our customers on www.bonobos.com

We think it is because we are trying to do something uncommon: building a premium men's brand, powered by awesome products, customer service and technology.

We’d like to build upon one of the experiments we ran in Manhattan last year, by offering highly motivated individuals the opportunity to acquire a fitting kit of Bonobos’ products and earn commission on sales done in-person to help us “get out the fit.”

While we offer free shipping both ways, and an “any time, any reason” return policy, some guys would still prefer to go to a local store to try out a new brand. Here in Manhattan, we invite our potential customers to come into our office and visit us, but around the country there is a huge opportunity to bring the fit of Bonobos pants out to our potential customers.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for in-person fitting ninjas AKA “field ninjas” around the country to help us acquire customers who would prefer to shop in-person, rather than online. Successful applicants will initially purchase a Bonobos fitting kit of 3, 5 or 7 pairs (different sizes and styles) at a deep discount. Then, using your target customer list and leads sent to you from Bonobos, you will conduct in person fittings, earning substantial commissions for your sales.

With a successful application, expect to certainly take on the following responsibilities:

* Develop a customer lead list for your target area

* Become an expert on Bonobos’ products, philosophy and policies

* Train future in-person fitting ninjas to be successful at new customer acquisition

* Provide Bonobos HQ with feedback on the fit and style of new products through your communications with customers

The Ideal Candidate

• You are a college junior or senior in a major metropolitan area. You are looked up to as someone who has great personal style and it would be easy for you to introduce Bonobos to your peers, local alumni, and graduate students at your university.
• You are a young professional who is the younger/youngest sibling to social older brothers and sisters. You have access to a network of friends and family who purchase premium products and who would be excited to learn about Bonobos.
• You are an actor or musician who takes on various odd jobs while you work on your real passion. You’re looking for a persistent source of income in your city and you have a lot of interactions with men who would be likely Bonobos customers.
• You are a young college graduate working in PR, fashion, or media. You enjoy your job and are ambitious, but unfortunately it doesn’t pay that well. You’re very outgoing and would love to represent Bonobos to potential customers in your field who don’t typically shop online.
• You are a homemaker and looking for a low-key, social, part-time job to do on your own hours, and you know a ton of guys who need to get rid of their khaki diaper butt!

There are obviously many types of people who could excel in this role who are not described above. If you feel like you could do a great job as a fitting ninja, and you don’t come close to fitting into any of the above buckets, you should definitely apply!

Potential Paths as an In-Person Fitting Ninja

As an in-person fitting ninja your success will result in sizeable commissions earned for every new customer acquire. You will be compensated both for your customers you source yourself, and leads that we send your way. Successful ninjas will also have the potential to earn trips to the Bonobos HQ in Manhattan, bonuses for exemplary performance, and the opportunity to interview for full time positions on our customer service or marketing teams.
