Sales Director for SONGLINE, exciting mission-driven start-up with good initial traction.

PLEASE NOTE: this is initially a commission-only position.

As a successful candidate you will work closely with the CEO and other founders, starting out as a one-person sales department doing everything from prospecting and lead generation to qualifying, presenting and closing with no administrative nor operations support and very limited marketing. While you are doing this, you will be developing Songline’s sales operations and as soon as you have more business than you can handle, you will hire a sales rep and create a repeatable sales model. Of course, as revenue increases, marketing and sales support will follow. You will continue growing your team to meet demand, while strategically building Songline into a global company with great financial returns and meaningful and measurable social impact.

We’re a young company of Stanford filmmakers that produce 1-minute micro-documentaries that are authentic, affordable and actionable for organizations that are making a positive contribution to the world.

Some of our clients include Stanford University, green technology companies like EnergyHub, socially responsible businesses like Rickshaw Bagworks, and medical organizations like the Newport Orthopedic Institute. They use the micro-documentaries we produce to connect in a more engaging way with their audience, to support their sales efforts and to raise more money. Their videos are distributed strategically through a number of channels like email campaigns, websites, social networks, events, and so on.

Experience selling to mission-driven organizations a plus.
Experience with filmmaking, production or creative services a plus.

You have excellent, demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations. You clearly understand key difference between Songline and your previous environment.

7. Personality & Style:
You are an extraordinary communicator and relationship-builder.
