TNT Borough Expansion Coordinator (Staten Island)

Position Title: Borough Expansion Campaign Coordinator
Basic Function: Responsible for further developing the Team In Training (TNT) program in the outer boroughs, with an emphasis on Staten Island and Brooklyn. As part of the TNT team, execute lead generation best practices to reach chapter specific recruitment goals each season. Coordinate with the seasonal staff on retention efforts. Coordinator is expected to be in the main office at least 3 full days a week to begin, and 2 days a week after orientation period has concluded.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Development - Work in conjunction with TNT Recruitment Director and TNT Marketing Manager to create and execute new marketing and recruitment plans for the outer-boroughs. Coordinator will have seasonal recruitment goals.
Recruitment -
- Attend and speak at all Staten Island information meetings and some in Brooklyn
- Find new venues for information meetings, preview events, socials, clinics and trainings in Staten Island.
- Responsible for all communication via email and phone call to prospects attending Staten Island information meetings.
- Maintain a through record of correspondence and recruitment outreach through data entry.
- Communicate with all Staten Island prospects via phone and emails within 24 - 48 hours.
- Identify and recruit corporate contacts.
Marketing -
- Secure and attend table opportunities through-out the community per season (gyms, fairs, markets, sport groups, etc) in Brooklyn and Staten Island.
- Create a local community and race calendar to strategize recruitment efforts in Brooklyn and Staten Island.
- Develop partnerships with community businesses in increase advertisement, in-kind donations, and other opportunities
- Scout locations for future triathlon trainings in Staten Island, especially pools.
- Attend at least 3-4 networking events per season (especially all those put on by Staten Island Chamber of Commerce).
Alumni Relations -
- Create a specific borough alumni committee to assist with grassroots efforts.
- Plan and host TNT house parties for recruitment efforts.
Retention - Support the teams to help meet and exceed retention goals. Will report to the team managers on setting up schedules.
- Attend at least four full Staten Island Group Training Sessions a month.
- Host fundraising clinics each season in Staten Island.
- Continue to incorporate the mission for the existing teams.
- Plan and attend Staten Island socials.
- Attend at least one event per year with other team coordinators.
Requirements
- Must be familiar and well connected to the Staten Island Community
- Strong follow up, communication skills, and organizational skills
- Public speaking abilities
- Ability to work with a team or independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail
- Skilled in computer operations and use of computer programs
- Ability to travel in and around Staten Island, Brooklyn and Manhattan
- Have home office space
- Willing to work in the Manhattan office at 2-3 days of the week.
