We can make more money in mobile {advertising} than desktop eventually because the mobile computer is more targeted. You carry your phone everywhere, it knows all about you, it knows what you re up to. We can do a very, very targeted ad. Over time, we ll make more money from mobile advertising.

Welcome to the ground floor of the next big thing! Underground Labs is a newly minted startup founded by a successful team of mobile pioneers from MobiTV. We build next gen mobile web sites and iPhone/Android applications focused on music, entertainment and pop culture (check out THE CLUB at http://the-club.mobi). Ad Sales Rep Position
Underground Lab's ad supported mobile web sites and applications offer a great value proposition for advertisers: high quality branded content, strong click thru rates, rapidly growing traffic, and the ability to create custom sponsorship opportunities. We've got a great track record delivering results for advertisers including Nikon, Navy, Diet Coke, and AXE.

What we need are experienced ad salespeople with a strong rolodex and great relationships that can open doors, get us into RFPs, and grow the business. This is a contract, commission only position initially. For the right candidate, we can transition to full or part time employee including start-up equity. We re also fine if you have another F/T gig and simply want to moonlight with us to augment your income.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pitch and sell sponsorship packages for THE CLUB
  • Get us into RFP for national advertising campaigns
  • Develop and manage accounts and relationships
  • Represent Underground Labs in the advertising community


Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years experience in national advertising sales/business development.
  • Mobile experience a plus
  • Hollywood movie studio advertising connections a plus
  • Fluency with current mobile and internet technology required
  • Independent, self starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative, start-up environment
  • Great relationship skills
