Ruby on Rails Developer

Ear Works is a software company designing tools for the hearing-care industry. We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to join our team, and help us complete our enterprise-class web application.

Responsibilities:
* Become familiar with current code-base and the site's present form.
* Implement the remaining feature set for the application.
* Performance test and tune the site to work optimally in whichever production environment is chosen.

Prerequisites:
* Thorough knowledge of Ruby on Rails, with experience on at least one major RoR project.
* Good understanding of MySQL databases.
* Grasp of git repositories.

Preferred Skills:
* Experience building social-networking and/or consumer-comparison web applications.
* Knowledge of these RoR concepts:
- Performance tuning
- AJAX-enabled RoR development.
- Experience with any of the various testing suites.
- Capistrano deployments.
