Java Developer - Work from home (DC Metro Area)

Tired of the commute? We’re looking for a talented JAVA developer with enough discipline and motivation to code from home and contribute to a successful team. This position focuses on designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining database web applications using object-oriented methodologies. Duties will span the lifecycle, from ground-up analysis and collecting requirements, to full system deployment. We provide all software and hardware necessary for successful mission accomplishment. Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years in professional software development.
- Java and J2EE expertise
- Apache, mod_jk, JBoss, Tomcat, Hibernate, Spring, etc.
- Experience in n-tier architecture and design and Object Oriented methodologies
- Experience with multiple Operating Systems (especially Apple and Linux)
- PL/SQL and/or Linux Shell Scripting skills considered a plus
- Familiar with current application security techniques
- Reside in the Baltimore/Washington Metro Area
- Clean background/US Citizen (Able to obtain security clearance)

We are looking for someone who likes to work hard and play hard - quality of life is a top priority, but so is pride in workmanship.
