Grant writer wanted for 501(c) 3 (New Jersey)

We are accepting applications for a Grant Writer for a five (5) year old 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. We are a start-up organization, with a primary objective of dealing with all on and off the job stressors facing the Law Enforcement Community, crisis intervention and follow-up assistance for the Law Enforcement Community, on a National Level. Primary intention is to provide training and creation of a hotline program.

Duties and responsibilities:

Assist with grant writing, fund development, grant requests and assist in grant problem solving.
Assist with request for Proposals and Invitation for Bids from various Government and NGO agencies.
Planning, obtaining bids from contractors, and follow-up on minor construction / rehabilitation projects.

Self-starter able to work well with time deadlines and without direct supervision.
Dependable, accurate and thorough.
Strong communication skills.

Grant writing and/or fund development skills are a must.

Compensation will be commensurate with applicants experience and value to Executive Board.
