Linux-based development team wanted for multimedia player application

We're looking for a team of highly experienced Linux developers for the creation of a standards-based audio/video playback application that includes a proprietary XML-based graphical menu system and content decryption.

Target platform hardware is the RMI Au1300 processor or similar. The device is a headless dock with HDMI audio/video output. Content is read from a separate device that connects to the dock via USB.

Technical expertise in these areas:

- General video concepts (aspect ratio, scaling, color depth, etc)
- MPEG4 ISO 14496 Part 10 (H.264) video codec integration and/or development
- MPEG4 ISO 14496 Part 3 (AAC) audio codec integration and/or development
- MPEG4 ISO 14496 Part 12 + Part 15 (File format structure)
- MPEG4 ISO 14496 Part 17 (TTXT subtitles)
- XML
- ATAPI
- Some type of multimedia content protection technology (AACS, CPPM, CSS, Windows Media or similar)
- Mobile and/or light-weight dedicated multimedia hardware platforms

We cannot accept only an individual applicant for the following reasons:

- Software application requires expertise in multiple areas
- Timeframe for delivery depends on an established team development effort
- Content protection technology specifications have distribution limitations

Only responses from dedicated contracting firms/teams will be considered. References and examples of previous work encouraged.

We are located in Boulder, Colorado - but your team can be located anywhere in the U.S.
